acrylics and mixed mediums on canvas
A Rose by any other name is still a Rose! Rose was my Muse for a series of paintings. I used the portrait from my “A Rose” painting to create acrylic skins to lay into other paintings. The paintings in the series are, “Sisters”, “My Sister’s Sweater”, and “The Three Sisters.”
For the last while I have been exploring creating acrylic skins of portraits I have painted. The acrylic skins are fragile and temperamental in their development. I have discovered that a mixture of patience, time and the correct polymer medium create the best results. Sisters is one of my recent renderings.
